so i want to get a herb iron like the ones on ALT but dont really wanna drop 80 on one so i was just wondering is there a difference between a herb iron and a regular soldering iron?
Make sure it's a Hakko. The difference is that the herb iron has a button you hold down to heat it. The Hakko soldering irons are always turned on when plugged in so major fire hazard. Make sure it's a Hakko tho if you go the soldering iron route. It needs a ceramic tip like the hakes have
