Both oakton ph pens i have are giving me bad numbers and wont calibrate. In the process of charging/buffering the Coco. This puts me bk until the new pen comes. Thank god for Amazon Prime. Its definitely a Growers advantage .
Subbing up on this - love me some QBs and the COBs around the edges should help lower growth on the edges come in strong too! Green Monstah... I see in your profile you're in IL... any history in MA?
Turns out My concern was correct. The new pen showed i made up the seedlings in Coco thats around 6.5-6.7 PH. Nothing looking funny yet but added correct nutes and PH of around 250 ppm / 6.0 ph. My concern now was they might be too wet, especially the clear solo cup in red setup. Drainage on the bottoms look crappy. Been working on getting 5 or 6 Hempy Buckets ready. Charging/buffered 30 gal of coco and mixed with perlite. Getting the buckets fitted with the Hydroton and bottom fed system. First feed 5 gal RO Water 10 ml cal mag 10ml Canna A & B 5ml Voodoo
Had them in the 5 gal hempys and they were definitely too wet in the solo cups. But then was concerned the 5 gal were way too big for that size plants so i got them back out of the 5 gals and into these smaller air pots till 2 weeks. After 1st transplant 2nd Not ideal to transplant twice but used b-52 and recharge. Hopefully I didn't stunt too long but senced there was something wrong and ph was secondary to being too wet.
Man nice to see you back in the swing of things. My room is almost perfected churning out beauties every month and a half. I'm also rocking the qb and cobs too. And gotta say theyre brite.
Hows it going bro. Ya im bk at it. If you only knew. I wasnt going to do another run here but didnt/dont have much of a choice. Ya I noticed not being around for a few months QB are everywhere now infact I see people talking about knockoffs lol. I knew QB would get popular. You say month and half? How? From clone or seed? 4weeks veg 9wks flwr unless your growing autos.
No autos. I'm running 4 to 5 plants at a time all offset by 6 weeks. 2 in 4x8 flower tent. 2 in veg 1 seedling on the go
Definitely concerned. Looked at my pics and all my grows that are exactly the same hempy-wise all pretty much took off and hit the bottom reservoir around 2 weeks after seed showing leg. Amazing. Now im a week in and over potted em with 5 gal then put them into 1 L air pots. They all look great and so far i havnt had any shock but The process of trying to get the root system to chase the bottom of a hempy Bucket it will cost me time.
Ok day 8 from born. No go on finding 3 gallon bucket's. I do see a very nice deal on eBay for 10 3 1/2 gallon bucket's for about $30 but its too late. 5 gal it is. I will try to fill them like 3 to 3 1/2 gallon and a transplant close to the bottom. In the meantime, I ordered some back up products I highly recommend.
If I remember correctly that's 60 mL same as the free sample size they were giving out a year or two ago I'm definitely sure it's enough for one run with for plants. They sent me 250 mL once also for free
Not bad considering these poor girls in the first week of their lives have been through three transplants. Worst take off I've had so far. I tried to transplant really low this time close to the reservoir but it was difficult because the 1L AirPods they were in the root system didn't have time and it wasn't compacted so Coco completely separated from most of the roots. It's a lot easier when everything holds together makes it very very difficult to transplant when the roots didn't have time to hold onto the Coco you basically have a limp string.
The Hardest part of Hempys is waiting for the root system to hit the bottom but once it does watch out. Got my nute bucket for Bottom tubing feeding ready. Need to clean 5 more individual feed tubes.
