mmm whats happening is its growing. Those odd shaped leaves that might puzzle you are called Cotyledon. It has the stored food and contains the embryo of the plant when its first developing. They will fall off in time . As for your other leaves there new they will unfurl, grow and in a very short time look completely different then how they look now.
