What are the specs of the light?? Watts? Lumens? etc.... And yes you can with at least 100w per plant.
Yes. I use a 4' 2 bulb T8 fixture. 32W bulbs. 43 bucks at Lowes. They wont go longer than a month and a half to two months under them though. Then you need more light.
thats the setup im talking about. so whats the cheapest way to grow them until flowering?? I have ventilation and temp control i just need some light advice.
Well, if you are using soil, get a 4' T8 fixture and bulbs. Hang ur light 3" above your soil and wait. LST it along the way to maximunize light effeceincy. After a month or two, move it under a HID light. High pressure sodium will work best. Or, add more light to what you already have via CFL, another floro fixture, etc. If you want to go floro all the way then invest in a T5 set up.
If your plants are 24 inches tall now.....then they are more than a month and a half old. Unless you have had a poopy light on then this whole time and they are streched out. If your plant is streched out to 24" tall and you flower it under flourescents, I wouldn't hold out for much of a yeild. Putting them under flourescents wont do much for ya at this point. Even if they aren't streched out, the amount of folaige on them would be fed by one 2 bulb T8 fixture. The only way to get something decent would be sucking it up and making an investment on a good light. I grow mine under my floros from seed. I LST them along the way. They aren't 24" tall when I put them in my cab to flower. They grow under the floros for a month, sometimes a months and a half to two months. By that time they are about 12 to 15 inches tall and are too bushy to live off of the floros.
well, they are outside right now, but the light im dealing with out, is going to put them into an early floweer. I was hopeing to bring them in and let them grow a little bigger then flower indoors,
Cool. Well if they are two feet tall. And have 5 or 6 leave sets. A 2 bulb T8 fixture wont cut it. You could probably get by with a 4 bulb T8, but that wont give you as good of buds as a T5 or HID.
