Help!

  1. Hi

I’ve started my first grow and already having issues. The plants are 10 days old since they germinated. Two out of five plants have brown spots on leaves and don’t look healthy at all. Started them in ProMix HP and haven’t added any nutrients yet. I’ve attached a couple photos for reference. Any help is appreciated.

  2. I grow in HP. Since there are no nutrients in the soil, your problem comes down to either watering or light. I veg under a 100 watts @28 inches when they are that young. You should only water when the cups are super light and only enough water to last 2-3 days. I start my plants in their final pots and begin feeding lightly @ 9-11 days from germination. I have a couple journals that may help.

Blueberry is in progress as we speak. Let me know if you have any questions. Peace.

  3. I’m thinking it’s a light issue. Don’t think they’re overwatered but never know. I’m using a 600W light with veg and bloom switch. Not sure what the actual wattage would be. What height would you recommend I hang it at, and also would you just run the veg switch for now? I’ve read conflicting articles about running both throughout the whole grow.

  4. They’re getting close to needing water again. I’m going to be using Advanced Nutrients Bloom, Micro, Grow. How much should I be giving at this time? Their website gives feeding schedules but not certain what to do as I don’t want nutrient burn.

  5. Start with 1/4 strength and see how the plants respond.

  6. Probably 60 actual watts. I'd hang it at 24 inches with both switches on. I'm sure some would disagree but whatever. The plants will tell you if they want more or less light.
