I have been checking this forum out from quite a while and have desided to join. Its my first time with DWC and need some suggestions on the clones, will greatly appreciate it. Clones have roots and just recenty transplanted from soil to hydroponic. Currentl using FoxFarm Nutes on the Seedling /Clone phase. 4x6 GRow tent 600w dimmable set 400w Hydroponics FoxFarm Nutes Cal/mag Superthrive
We need more info. First of all, how old? What is your PH and TDS? Most noob's will think the more nutrients given, the better. This could not be further from the truth. I will give you a couple of quick pointers and what to do and what not to do. First of all, make sure that you have very very little to no PPM in your water for the first month as the plant will survive on its own without nutrients for the first month. Nutrient burn is very easy to do withtin this period. After that, slowly work your way up to the label, starting around 1/4 strength for the first couple weeks after introducing nutrients. This period will be highly supervised to see how they react. Adjust accordingly to what the plants are telling you. Your PH should be around 5.8 to 6.4 +/- couple tenths. Make sure you are oxygenating your water! What is the size of your tank and what is the power your air pump puts out, and how many airstones (and size of them)? Also, this is very important: do NOT keep your water pump on 24/7 (if using drip system). You only need to water them a few times a day for a few minutes. Of course, this is only true unless they tell you otherwise (over/under watering is very easy to detect). That is all that I can think of off the top of my head until I get more info from your setup; Pics would be VERY beneficial for me to determine your problem, so try your best to post up a few pics of your setup as well as your tank (inside and out). Good luck!
Just had this Clones for about a week and I just transplanted a day ago. Clones is almost a month old per previous owner. I gave it FF nutrient per charting but iI started from seedlings/clones chart. added a lil bit call mag and superthive as directed. I attached PPm and ph levels and maximum of 84 Degress temp.
I see transplanting from soil to hydro might give them a shock. Roots are so use to the soil than the hydro. The recent roots might die off enable to grow new ones for the hydro. Nutes are lowered down to a quarter strenght along with ppm for super recovery. It will need time and a whole lot of TLC. BTW. When I transplant from soil to soil the recovery time is fast and almost instant than different medium.
Seems to me it's just a small process of recovery. I like to take it easy on roots after cloning. I will always lightly foliar feed for a couple weeks in addition to slowly reintroducing nutrients. Have you tried giving a light strength foliar feeding?
Thanks KillerKush/bMEAT I do foliar feed just spraying PH RO water ED. and water them very lightly with PH RO water EOD or when it only needs it. I'll wait till it recover and start the reintroduction of nutes about 1/4 strenght per advised. btw PPM was 820 now back to RO water with 0 PPM
Sounds like you are on the right track. How old are the roots? If you are at 0-PPM, you might want to put 100-200 if the roots are old enough and well established.
I was using a golden hand fan which is manually exhausting then I upgraded to Vornado ...lmao Im just kidding man bout the hand fan
