help with ventilation..

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by Northstar22, Sep 20, 2011.

  1. i have 2 hydrofarm 4in squirrell fans i am trying to get set up for intake/ exhaust from the way i am set up now how would you mount and run these fans..... looking for suggestions . i am running a 430 watt hps tell i get a mh bulb.... thanks

    you can see pics in my other foums in micro grows

  2. Use the bigger of your fans to pull air out the top through your light and depending on your setup you can use the other out the top through a filter or as an intake...personally I only use 1 can fan style on my whole setup with a passive intake

    Puffer

  3. i tried runnning the fun blowing into refelctor still got up to 93 i think the light is just either too strong for such a small box or i need to get a air cooled hood so i can actually run air around the bulb....

  4. i have 2 4inch squirrelll fans should i run the intake or exhaust from my light or both...... what is best layout for ventilation on my small box.... or is it just too small for that light

  5. both should be exhausting from the space, passive airflow into the growing area is how you want to run it.

    The more your fans suck, the greater the negative pressure is inside of the tent/room, that pulls in fresh cold air from a supply vent or under the doors into your room and back out of the light

    | Vent | Room | Carbon Filter===Ducting===/<Light>\===Ducting=== Fan=== > Outside

  6. this guy is right. i would use both fans for exhaust and just have open holes that are twice the size of the exhaust holes
