Help with sprouting stage...

  1. \t\t\t \t\t\tAlright obviously I'm a beginener because I'm here...

I have a couple of questions on my sprouting stage. I recently decided to grow indoors with my friend and we have found that our plant has grown faster then what most of the sites are telling me. First of all I germinated my seeds for 3 1/2 days. The plant started sprouting after the second day, now 7 days later plant is about 3 inches tall. Now that seems to be a lot of growth from what I usually read from the internet, and I wanted to know whether or not our plant will suffer from this in the long run or will it keep up at this rate. We give the plant 16 hrs of light with 10 hrs dark and an interupted lighting session for like an hour half-way through the sleeping cylcle.

We sort of made a half-ass ghetto greenhouse that seems to be holding up. We mist the greenhouse a lot during the light cycle but we figure that the greenhouse is somewhat big so we don't trouble ourselves with it that much, although we do not spray the plant all that much and we try to give the plant the best amount of water in the soil without rotting the roots.

So I'm curious on what is happening here and what could I do to prevent any troubles that would lie ahead if my plant is going to be short lived, so if I could get some help on my questoins or some comments on my statements I would be gratefull. If you have any questions you can just IM me on AIM or email me or something... inopus666 AIM inopus666@gmail.com

  2. is the plant stretching for light at all??

3" doesnt seem too bad if the leaves and branches are growing and not just the stem

oh yeah howcome you have 26 hours in your day ?? lol

  3. HIGH All, welcome to The City Inopus!!! Just what The Shamen said.....no mention of lights your useing, the lights could be too HIGH and the plant is stretching for the light. When I get a little seeder that's stretching for the lights I and most others here transplant it up the cotyledon leaves (the first set of leaves to open).

  4. Thanks for the help! I actually did try this method out and it seems to be helping. I think I've read on the site that if you shake the plant a little it will break down cells and make them regenerate stronger is that true? (I sort of forgot the page). I don't want to risk my plant being hurt, but if this is bad to do just post it please... :) Thanks again.

  5. Dont shake that tree, use a fan set low,to help strenghten the stem happy growing
