They both receive the same amount of water but one isn’t making any progress and is slightly turning yellow where as the other one is growing really well and onto it’s second set of leaves.
I’ve read a few threads and it says it’s a possible over or under water issue, but confused how when they both receive the same amount of everything?
I have attached a picture of both plants, the left one is the one not growing

  2. grow medium?, what kind of water do u use, whats the ppm and the ph? temps? do you have drainage holes? do you water until runoff? do you use any nutes yet?

  3. I am not s dirt or compost grower.
Normally the leafs droop when there is not enough drainage or under watered.
Being I am a hydroponic grower there really is no such thing as over watering .
Rather its really not enough drainage.

  4. It’s a store bought potting mix
Just tap water but have all the ph gear and have it at 6.5.
Yeah both pots have draining holes and no not using anything yet besides water!

  6. i only grow in coco, so i cant really tell if its over or underwatering but i had some drooping because of underwatering when they were seedlings but in coco you have to water daily. How old are they and how often do you water?

  7. Adding 30% perlite to your soil will promote better drainage, faster growth, and help with over watering.

  8. true, perlite will help a lot. add when you transplant. Rule of thumb for watering in SOIL not COCO is sticking your finger1 inch deep and when you take it out it should have little to no soil on it. then you water. The cup should also feel way lighter .

  9. Okay great thanks for the help.
When do you suggest I should transplant into a bigger pot? Should I wait a couple of weeks or are they almost ready now?

  10. They're not near ready to transplant yet - maybe in a couple weeks. Bury the stem when you do it. Good luck.

  11. its not about time, its about root growth. I transplant when they have 3-4 nodes and also you can check the roots from the drainage holes. If there are not too many showing, dont think about transplanting. When there are many roots (half of my drainage holes is covered with roots) its wise to transplant, although early transplant aint gonna be the end of the world. when you try to transplant check if the roots are cycling around the soil enough to hold the medium together. Then you can surely transplant. If they are not that big yet, you can put it back carefully on the cup
