Trial and error is the only real answer, go down a little and water to runoff and test, if needed adjust and finish watering.
I just went thru fixing my pH, just go down a bit and try again but if you're going in 7 and coming out 6.5 I'd start by dropping to 6.5 and see how it goes. You're not far off.
That's what I was thinking. I've read you shouldn't try and drop a full point as it can be shocking to the plant. A few of my plants are doing pretty good and getting pretty tall so I want to switch over soon but need to get the ph figured out before I think about doing that. Not sure about shocking the plant, I dropped 3-4ph in my runoff in one shot but I was ph'ing8-9 also.
