Hey guys, im new to growing and forums. Im here trying to get some advice on growing in a room thats 6 x 10. I was thinking getting two 600 watt hps lights (ballast included).Should i go with a switchable light? does MH make a huge difference? would that be good enough for the space? I dont want to go with 1000 watt to not cause extra heat. im thinking about growing around 15 clone give or take in soil.
Each 600w is really only good to cover about a 4 x 4 area. If I had that amount of room I would do two 1k dimmable lights. That should cover about 5 x 10. Running 1200w is going to require attention to heating anyway. You can get mh conversion bulbs for hps ballast, or digital ballast will fire either bulb. You can veg with hps though, the internodes just might be a little more stretched out.
