This is my first time growing in rockwhool and hydroton. My set up.... Black 5 gal. Bucket 6 inch net pot lid Rockwhool Hydroton 3.75 psi duel air-pump 2 medium size air-stones (3"x1.5") My questions are do I run my air pump on a timer How high should my water level be What nutes if any should I use for the first few weeks
1) No, just let the pump run all the time. 2) Once the roots are coming out of the bottom of the net pot/lid you'll want you water 1-2 inches below the bottom of the pot. 3) Run your nutes about 200-400ppm for the first week than you can bump it up weekly. Also, Don't let your hydroton get too wet. Can cause for weak, rotten stems. I hope this helps.
