I will be growing 6 Jack Herer x O.G. Kush plants this summer. I will be using 1 250 watt hps lamp. What would be the best way to maximize my yield, i.e. Does it matter when I force the plant to flower? Any tips on what nutrients I should use? This is my first grow so any other tips are welcome

That depends on how big you want your plant...how much weed you want your plant to produce....how much space you have to work with, plants double even triple in size after being in flower. So you just kinda gotta figure it out for yourself. I veg for two weeks. That's not including sprout time. Sprout time could be as long as 3 weeks before they are ready for veg nutes. Maybe even 4 weeks for some strrains...and room conditions. After a two week veg they go into flower for the rest of their days. You can veg for as long or as little as you want. You can flower them as early or late as you want.
