I have 7 plants under two 4' fluoro tubes and one Daylight CFL that goes in between the stems alternately to get the node sights more light. They have been under 12/12 for a little under three weeks and are beginning to show sex (I think most are boys). My problem is that my timer gave me an extra 5 hours of light before finally hitting its 12 hours of darkness. I don't know why it did this, but instead of turning off at 1am and returning on at 1pm, it turned on at 1pm and turned off at 6am. How will this affect my plants? Should I switch it back to turning on and off and alternating 1 o'clocks, or should I just let it go turning off an on at alternating 6 o'clocks? I need help dude...
Don't trip. As long as it was only a day or so, just go back to your regular 1-1 schedule. I have had lighting systems "go bezerk" a couple of times and as long as it isn't prolonged ( over 2-3 daze) you should be cool.
