Help with hydro drip system

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by greenthumbed, Sep 2, 2009.

  1. I made my own drip system. Should I just let the water free flow onto the roots out of the 1/4 inch tubing or should I install drippers on the ends and let it drip onto them? The water is flowing out of little nozzles right now so its close to full power, its more like a constant even trickle. I think it looks great but scared of over watering. What do you guys think? Install drips or just keep the constant trickle? Thanks!

  2. I stopped using drip stuff a long time ago.

    PITA

The heads clog up and it was just a lot easier to go aeroponic and use foggers.

  3. So you just let the water stream onto the roots?

  4. Nope.

Once I put the clones in the system, I use a turkey baster to wet the medium a couple of times.

After that I let the fogger(s) keep the roots wet.

    This is the "aeroponic" method.

So much easier and less hassle.

Roots just sit in a fog.

    (they grow like gangbusters too!)
