Update About Advertising on Grasscity Important: A New Chapter for Grasscity

Help with homework. Smoking café owners?

    So I am in college getting my horticultural degree and for one of my labs I have to research a field of horticulture I want to go into. Well I want to grow bud and own a smoking café in Amsterdam or a medical marijuana facility in California. Either way I need to get a hold of someone that can answer some of these questions. I am suppose to interview them but because of the subject I have chosen I feel most people will be afraid to contact me.

    1)\tWhat led you to your career path to growing marijuana?
    2)\tWhat was your educational background?
    3)\tWhat are your duties/responsibilities in your job?
    4)\tWhat benefits do you have? (lots of bud I would suppose, lol)
    5)\tWhat is the most challenging part of your job?
    6)\tIs there training you wish you would have had before starting and if so what?
    7)\tWhat was your most challenging project
    8)\tWhat resources do you depend on to help facilitate your job


    Just so you can get an idea of what and how I am going to present this. I have to prepare a 5 minute oral report to include a description of my career choice and a summary of my interview. I also have to turn in a paper including name and job title of person interviewed. I will assume everyone will want to be anonymous and I hope my teacher will understand. Name of business or employer, contact information (lol) and a list of any other questions I asked.

    Please someone that knows about this business pretend to own one and I will give you a cookie.

    I'm gonna wing it 'cuz we have very, very similar dreams(still in HS, but whatev).:p

    What led you to your career path to growing marijuana?
    -Well, it first started with my interest in smoking Marijuana. Soon after I developed an interest in Botany, and begun researching deeper in the sacred herb.

    What was your educational background?
    -I have a high school diploma and a Bachelors degree in Botany.

    What are your duties/responsibilities in your job?
    -I am a co-owner of a Coffee shop where I specialize in growing the finest strains of Cannabis.

    What benefits do you have?
    -I have the benefit of enjoying every minute of my life. My path has led me to have a special relationship with plants, and have learned so much about Cannabis as well.

    What is the most challenging part of your job?
    -My job is rather non-challenging. But I am always having to devise new ways to keep the customers happy. I guess that would be most challenging

    Is there training you wish you would have had before starting and if so what?
    -Hmm, well, I guess more training with brewing coffee (laughs).

    What was your most challenging project
    -Establishing the business was the most challenging part for me, after that it has been a smooth ride.

    What resources do you depend on to help facilitate your job
    -Well, obviously, the most important resources are keeping up to date with the latest growing techniques. Technology is changing so rapidly that it can be quite a rush to keep up with the Cannabis industry.

    Thanks for the reply. I have a feeling I am going to just make it up just like that. I can’t wait to see the faces on other students when I start talking. Be as good as my 20 min PowerPoint presentation on THC’s effect on the body on 4/20/06, god I loved that day.

    Hah, oh man, a presentation on 4/20? They were just ASKIN' for that one.

    man, thats a pretty sweet project, try e-mailing some shop owners, im sure if they speak english they will be more then happy to tell you.

    or even better yet, look up some good clubs in cali or somthing, and e-mail one of them, i bet anything you will get a response, and possibly an intenship?....

    how^, sorry but i would have no idea how to find them. I still need an internship to graduate too, hehe. Oh what a dream.

    as much as i love google i am the suxor at it.

    I just sent about 15 emails i hope at least a few respond.

    good luck man, that is an amazing opportunity, make sure you do the absolute best you can on that project too, blow bitches away with it.. just one more step to having them realize that pot isnt' that bad.. and make sure its good enough that they can't even think about denouncing it because of their own beliefs/misconceptions.

    weed was givin a bad rep by the government, we must take that away.

    wish i could^ but this report has nothing to do if marjuwana is bad or not. I have only had 1 responce and they want my home and school address and full name. This sucks because i am not willing to give that out. I also had a lot of failur to send emails which does not suprize me that much.

    i didn't even really mean it in that way.. just meant to make it a good report, because if its not too great, it will be easier for their oppinion to come out, but if it is amazing then there is no way they can let their views affect their thoughts on your project/maybe a grade.

    ps. these people should be rather proffesional, i am sure you can negotiate something with them

    It’s not worth jack shit in points for the class, so that’s why I am not all that worried with it. I have other classes that need my time. I will just make some stuff up and try my best to research the topic. I wish I could get a hold of some people but for the past few days I have not been able to.
