Hey guys, I was going to do my first grow but don't exactly know what I need. I have been reading up on this site but i still dont understand exactly what the nutes do and are for. What all do i need to start out cheap? I have a lamp here I could use temporarily and if possible just get a lightbulb for it? What bulb would you reccomend and please explain the nutes thanks

I'd read up material such as the grow bible and there's other good books. And it's not cheap to start. You'll need two different lights for veg and flower.
if you wanna save money and have a very on the down low set up i would look into the AG system. you will have to buy a timer for the flower cycle but the system does all the work for you! ag=aerogarden
Defiantly read through the growers’ forum and invest in some good books as mentioned before the “Grow Bible”. Also you need to decide if you are going to use HID, CFL, LED, T5, or Plasma lights. Then there is ventilation possible heating and cooling. A lot to think of and yes it is not cheap to get started. Whatever you do choose I wish you the best of luck on your grow.
