Help with better nutes

  1. Anyone recommend something better than fox farm trio they give my plants nute burn very easily and would like to try something else thats up there in like the top 5, need for veg and flower since i am in soil happy frog

  2. How many watts are you running? What week did you start feeding? Are you feeding quarter strength? What’s your ppm?

  3. I recently switched from FoxFarm to Advanced Nutrients SensiGrow and SensiBloom. Im loving it so far....no burnt tips OR pH problems since I switched. I love that they are pH perfect...so no need to test really. That is a huge plus for me. These buds are from the last plant I grew with Sensi Bloom.[IMG][IMG]

  4. Fox farms is pretty concentrated. A little bit goes a long way. Start small on the ppm and work your way up. Don’t go by fox farm feeding chart. Start at a quarter strength until the look hungry and up the dose. Hope this helps man.

But to answer your question nectar for the gods is a good line. Organic. No burn. And runs their line with cal mag in mind. Check em out. I’ve had good results with both.(trio and NFTG)

  5. Jack's 321. 3.6 g of Jack's hydro 5-12-26, 2.4 g of Jack's cal nit 15-0-0 and 1.1 g of epson salt. I'll never use anything else and it's cheap! Search Jack's 321 on Ebay and get a starter kit for under $10 bucks and try it out. 20190621_010916.jpg

  6. If your using soil try dry amendments and build a natural microbial life to feed your plants at the root base, avoid liquid fertilizers as they build up in soil and affects wont be seen for days after damage has started, it also will be hard to correct immediately in soil. Alternatively you could go with coco and fox farm works perfect its all I used. 20190109_191515.jpg

  7. I personally didn’t like the fox farm trio. Also used canna nutes in a coco grow and the plants did amazing but got tired of mixing nutes and ph’ing everyday. I made the switch the Mr Bs Green Trees which is an organic dry amendment. Top dress once a week. Using Oregon’s Only #4 soil. Zero ph’ing. Regular water. And my plants are greener and happier then any of the other nutes I’ve used. By far the easiest way to grow. And a 5 gallon bucket of growth and a bucket of bloom will last you years.

  8. Fox Farm works for me, I use it at half strength and PH always to 6.5, no burn yet. I also use Alaskam Morebloom 0-10-10.

  10. I am confused whats with a and b base? Isnt that bad to use both during veg because i think one if for bloom. I was looking at mills brand and says base A and base B but which one do you use for veg when it says use both but bloom would make no sense

  11. The moment you start blaming a nutrient is the moment you gotta realize that you’re doing something wrong.
Fox Farma or any other nutrient works fine.
You’re the one that is over feeding, don’t blame the product.
Get yourself a ppm meter and go easy on the plants. They barely need to be fed anyway. Nutrients are very overrated, except for cal mag. Cal mag is the only product you need to use on every watering.

  12. I push the shit out of mine 1300ppm usually by 4-5week then back down.

  13. Most nutrient lines have a part A and part B for Veg and a part A and part B for flower you need all 4 bottles, whichever brand you decide on look at there feeding chart for what you need but dont listen to there amounts, as previous people said start at 1/4 strength of the chart and then read your plants, if leaves are to light green then up the feed, if they are to dark then reduce etc

  14. I wont use anything but Canna nutes and Emerald Harvest cal/mag and silica

  15. I may be wrong but, I think they have to be in Part A and Part B to get it to "pH perfect". I use SensiGrow Part A and B and SensiBloom Part A and B. You have to add Part A and mix thoroughly and then add Part B and mix thoroughly according to the instructions. I'm guessing the 2 parts has something to do with getting it to mix to the right pH...otherwise, what would be the point? Why not just put it all in one bottle? I guess from a business standpoint, its better to sell 2 bottles instead of 1! Lol. Maybe someone with more knowledge can comment on whether I am correct about the pH thing or not.

  16. You won't beat Jack's price and results for click and buy nutrients proven to work. The closest you can get with more flashy recognized hydro brands is GH in bulk. Lucas formula with flora micro/bloom and supplement from there.

  17. Among professional hydroponic growers that make there own nutrients AN is a bit of a joke as far as how expensive they are and the amount of snake oil products they push for big money when you look at amounts of active ingredients.

That said they do work although I wouldn't go with their recommended schedule. It's too strong like most recommended hydro nutrient schedules.
