Help, what is this and will

This plant has some days of flower left to let the flush take effect but suddenly dark brown “burnt” portions are appearing and getting frighteningly close to the buds. There was a hot day when I first noticed but since that day I have protected her from heat yet still it is spreading. PH on the water I use is a little high but it’s been the same all the way through. Should I chop it to avoid the buds getting damaged or is this strictly a leaf issue and i should let it use up the stored nutrients to yellow a bit more? Those leaves affected which touch the buds appear un damaged when removed in the portions covered by the bud so it may be a delayed response to the heat but I am not sure and starting to worry as it is spreading.
