Help to understand from seed to harvest

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Phaleg, Sep 16, 2020.

  1. Hello :)

I am struggling to understand how long it will take from seed to harvest for this strain

I read on website Thanks to the ruderalis genes, the strain has a short flowering time of just 7 to 9 weeks (49 to 63 days) but they probably refers only to the time that the plant will be flowering, instead of the whole life cycle.

    Thanks for your advice

  2. This is an autoflower. You will likely have a three week to one month vegitative period.

  3. Auto-flowers = 4week veg, 4 week flower = A few ounces harvest (ruderaliis)
    Photoperiods-Indica = 8-10 week veg, 8-10 week flower = Large 6-8 foot plants 3 lb harvest.
Photoperiod-Sativa = 10-15 week veg, 15-20 week flower =Massive 20 ft plants. Medium to small yield 1.5 lb

    My 2 cents

  4. If it states flowering time, then it is just that. In addition to veg time. FYI: autos can burn easily, so begin nutes at 1/8-1/4 of the published amount. Autos have no light preclusions. Which light schedule are you using?

  5. Thanks to everybody for your answers, I appreciate them.

I did not expect that the flowering time, could have been as long as the vegetative time, basically when it starts to flower, this is just the half, most plants I know, have flowers for so short time XD

The auto seeds I asked, are not planted yet. I asked to understand how long they will take for the whole cycle.
I understand to give less nutrients because they are auto.

The 2 feminised plants are instead one N13 Kush and one Purple buds, both are flowering and they started in August. They have been moved in and back, to a dark room, in order to have more dark than light and trigger the flowering in August, in a very amateur way, I know.

  6. I don't understand what you mean. An auto is just like a timer. It goes from point a to b. Dark does not change veg or flower unless a 12/12 light schedule is needed to try and jump start an auto into flowering because it didn't flower when it should have. And could be a photoperiod by mistake.

  7. The ones feminised above are the one that were moved in order to trigger the flowering.
They are different from the auto which I asked, for future :)

  8. That might've been true a decade ago, but auto breeding has greatly improved.
I've had 7 foot autos yield a pound indoors in hydro.

    My average experience is
(5 weeks of veg) + ( 7 weeks of flower) = (4 oz dry in 4 sq ft), without training topping or pruning.

Most autos go 12-14 weeks, a few 10 weeks, and an occasional giant auto might take close to 20 weeks from seed.

  9. You definitely do not understand auto's if that's what you think. It's just more incorrect info.

  10. While that might be true for many more experienced growers based on what I see the new growers get...
Well let just say they tend to not be a spectacular producer. Being on a self flower triggered timer you don't get any second chances with them.
I can't count the number of 1 foot tall fully flowered Autos that get posted. Am I wrong ??
Photoperiods both Indica and Sativa are far more forgiving and size only limited by veg time.

  11. Woah, that change greatly vacation plans vs seeding :p

Are you able to forecast if this strain will stay to 12 weeks seeds to yield?

  12. Seed to harvest times are hard to predict for autos because it depends on when they autoflower.
Time to autoflower plus 7-8 weeks is what you should expect.
Mine usually flower in the 5th or 6th week in DWC, but I had one do it in the 3rd week.
Wait til you see pre-flowers, then add 7-8 weeks for flowering.

I recently harvested a couple stains at 10 weeks.

  13. Mistakes made that slows growth you cant get back.
