Help these girls out.

  1. I have a new set up. I got HLG Scorpion RSpec lights. They are emitting way more heat than I thought they would. I had to dim the lights to 15% in fear of excess heat until I got to installing a portable air conditioning unit.
I think that I had overwatered the seedlings, that they may have been undernourished (Roots organic, Buddha Grow), were light deficient and were heat burned (up to 87 F.).
I changed the nutes to something more potent (Fox Farm Grow Big), the heat now is around 78-82 F, but the air conditioning unit is bringing a lot of humidity in (up to 70%). I brought in my dehumidifier which brings in heat... to try to bring the humidity back down between 50-60%.
My seedlings had yellow dying leaves from bottom up, leaves were twisted and wavy + had some canoeing..
Now with my grow room changes, the smaller plants have intervein issues, still dying yellow/brown leaves while the bigger ones have dark green leaves, sometimes clawing down.
I changed most plants to bigger pots so am guessing that I am still overwatering them (to keep even moisture in the pot) and am now over feeding. I am using 2 teaspoons per gallon (2 to 3 is recommended) every other watering. While using root stuff the other waterings. I think that I should cut the nutes to 1 teaspoon per gallon every other watering.
My PH is always between 6 to 7. I found no bugs with 1000*
    microscope.
My plants started to sprout around 8/20, some of my plants are still only about 6" while 1 is almost 3' tall.
    Any suggestions appreciated.

  2. I also have holes and tearing in leaves but no bugs can be found. I am thinking that brittle leaves may be do to over feeding and over feeding may create deficiencies of some sort causing tears?

  3. The ones with the yellowing on all the lower leaves looks like nute burn, and then yea, heat stress to the tops. Reading the thread it sounds like your know exactly what happened. Less water no nutes for a while IMO

  4. Are you venting your inline fan outside? I see you're growing in an open space using a spare room. You still should have like a 12in inline fan above your light, or at least somewhere above sucking the rising heat up and outside. If you don't already. I see some droopy with white tips, the heat 87 probably didn't do that. That's pretty warm but not hot. Light intensity I would suggest did that, those are still fairly young and small plants. Light intensity can be misleading if you've never experienced it before and appear as deficiency and over watering. Which can cause a nutrient burn or frying effect when trying to correct the deficiency. First time I ran the ROI-e720 in my 4x4 that's what happened to me at 75% or 540 watts, on about month old plants

  5. My plants were looking horrible when my light intensity was at 15% and had the organic nutes. Leaves were twisted, all turning yellow and dying. HLG recommended I have it between 50% and 70% during veg. I have it at 50% now. I believe that it lacked light + was over watered. I do have a fan taking air out through a filter. I have the filter on the ground now but am in the process of building a stand so that it stays high in the room. I'm thinking more and more that I have over fed plants: dark green foliage, burned tips, droopy twisted leaves. I am going to start feeding them ph balanced water for a bit, then cut the nutes to 50% of what I was giving them. I might also dim my lights a bit to 40-45% to see if they get happier.
    Thanks.

  6. Yea 15% wouldn't do anything, that's based off of using r/o water with a base ppm of zero. I've never over fed when I used that chart. Add some nutrients mix get a ppm reading you'll be surprised how little it takes. I'd start with calmag then big bloom then grow big. If you get a runoff ppm reading you'll see what you're looking like.
