So where I live its really really humid and the humidity in my tent was rising to 70RH !!! So I upgraded my exhaust fan Used my old fan to bring fresh air in And still hovering around 60RH. So I bit the bullet and upgraded my dehumidifier. Its a beast lol. Humidity is now an issue no more ...... BUT my temps have shot up to 30 degrees. I'm in full on flower and don't want any mold or bud rot so the dehumidifier is essential but need some advice on my temps now please Any suggestions? Hopefully the dehumidifier won't need to be run 24/7 I have thought about having it outside the tent so the air being brought in is a better RH maybe??
I use humidifiers to keep hydro humidity around 65% thru harvest, while following the VPD chart, and have never had bud rot doing this for about 100 plants total so far. But there is good air flow. If following the high humidity recommendations of the VPD chart maximizes yield, then low humidity due to fear of bud rot must harm yield.
I would have went for an AC instead of the dehumidifier. The reason for this is that the AC will blow in cold dry air which would lower your temps and lower your RH at the same time. It would be your one stop shop to keeping everything level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
