I got a cut of a blueberry (dj shorts), and i put it under a gas lantern routine schedule for 2 weeks. Then she was put outside april 11th to veg along with my other strains. I planned on bringing most of my plants indoors to flower in about 1 week. I imagine the increased hours of darkness was the main contributor to my problem, but that doesnt help me out of it I just noticed today, may 8th, that she (my blueberry) is somewhere around 3 weeks into flower! Shes flowering hard, definitely not preflowers! What should i do??? Ive heard some strains when put outdoors too early, just continue flowering with no problems. I would be ok with that. But im a bit worried that shell try to reveg, which ive heard demineshes final yield. I can bring her inside with the rest of the plants in a week, but im worried that the amount of hours of darkness this week will send her into reveg. I dont want to reveg as its only a 18 inch plant with 5 main colas lovin u (=
Kandall You well and truly confused the hell out of your plants.. LITFA more and do even less ( leave it the fuck alone ) It'll take a lot longer then a week or 2 to reveg.. That takes a month or more to show depending how deep in flower the plant in question is.. . June 1st is the day you should always work towards.. Clones and seedling more then a month old are light aware and will flower if put out before June 1.. Simple as that.. . I'm in Southern California and use outside as my year round flower room.. Only June and July can be counted on to actually keep a plant in veg outside.. The entire rest of the year is flower lighting.. My clones are far older then a month and grew up under 24-0 and would have flowered long ago if not for the solar lights that are just enough to keep them in veg.. My seed plants for this summer run were started back at the beginning of April and raised under 16-8 T5 High Output lighting for the best possible time matching when I set them out on June 1st.. My 2 cents BNW
Well it was the only one out of 15 that went into flower, luckily i had cloned it just before it started flowering (i think). I waited till they had more than 14 hrs of light.... so idk why it was too early So should i just throw her away? Since i cant stop her from going back to veg? Heres a couple pics of her lovin u (=
Why would you throw it away? Just dont have the time or patience to wait? Chances are it will be monstrous and more than make up the lost time by branching like a mafk. Id let it roll, but thats just me. Sent from my SM-N920P using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Dont get me wrong, ive never had a cannabis plant i didnt love. And i hate to waste any plant that could produce. But Ive heard reveged plants lose yield and potency in the end. Ive got a clone of her that i figure could hit the same size in a month. Plus i am legally limited to plant numbers and want to get as much quality and quanity as i can produce (like everyone else i suppose). I guess my question is, how much potency/yield is lost from a reveged plant? I would be open to something like 10%, just dont feel comfortable sacraficing any more than that, soley for a more attractive looking plant. Thanks for all the help yall, my being skeptical doesnt mean i dont appreciate your thoughts and ideas. 90% of everything i know came from these forums. The other 10% came from me being skeptical and finding out for myself lol lovin u (=
I am not a pro by any means. I only have 4 or 5 outdoor runs under my belt. But from what ive soaked up from others in this time, and a little of my own exp, it seems like the revegged plants yield even HEAVIER, as it tends to grow many more off-shoot branches (colas). If given the choice myself, between 2 plants same size, one had revegged and one not, i would choose the reveg. Ive never had as many reveg b4 as i do this year, so it will go a ways in determining the real answer. Sent from my SM-N920P using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Thats exactly what i was wanting to hear! Ive only found one other person saying it IMPROVES yield in the end. Ive heard a couple people say, that some genetics (not just autoflowers), will just keep flowering once flowering is triggered. I hope youre right, just seems a little counter-intuitive. But experience is the best teacher so i guess ill let her do her thing. Even though shes probably hella confused, she still looks happy as can be. Never seen an unhealthy leaf on her since ive had her. Thanks again for the help! Ill try to post some update pics when i notice any changes. For now it looks like shell be dormant for a good month or so till she starts vegging again. lovin u (=
Heres a few update pics of her today. Shes grown maybe a few inches, not much. Still tryin to veg her, so im givin her light veg nutes. Dont know why shes still putting out flowers, i would have thought she would have stalled or somethin by now. Maybe shell just keep flowering? Shes had more than 15 hrs of light for a while now.... Kandall We are just now at the tripping point for most strains.. June 1st is the setout day for most of the Northern Hemisphere.. Your plant will reveg and really start to show it by July 4th.. With your plant so far into flower I'd likely put it on a wheeled cart and move it inside a blacked out garage at 4 pm everyday for the next month and finish her.. BNW
How? Everyone on grasscity, and other forums, has been saying cannabis needs 14.5 hours of light a day at least, to stay in veg. It was 15 hours of light when i put my plants outside, and this is the only one that started flowering. All my other plants are happy and vegging.... Also im not interested in a one ounce harvest, which looks like what it would yield at this point. Blah. Not looking good right now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Ahhh.. Some just do that.. I've got a Goblin Queen that flowered hard even under 24-0 so it's out of the pool with that cut.. BNW
Little advice- take your own advice Anything sounds believable if the person is confident, and there are a lot of stupid confident people. Dont throw away a plant because of something someone tells you on the internet or anywhere else for that matter. At the very least you Can make some edibles
Im sorry but i owe my ass to this community. I am aware not everyone knows what theyre talking about. Im pretty good about filtering out the BS. This one had me stumped tho, which is why i asked for help. And i do appreciate 99% of the response i got. It helped me form my own decision to let her do her thing. I only mentioned throwing it away because of legal plant count, i could have another plant yield pounds in its place, which is why im not interested in a one or even 2 ounce yield. However, im gonna try to get her to reveg either way, and the experience itself will be worth the effort, as ill have a better idea of what to do next time. If you want a tiny harvest, like you said, then flower her out. But if you have the patience/room available, let it do its thing. Unless its got some autoflower in the strain, it will reveg. Sent from my SM-N920P using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Thank u kindly. Its dj shorts blueberry, no way in hell should it have any auto in there. Ill post all updates of her here Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Sorry to steal your topic, but should i throw these away? They look like thier not doing any revegging, But not flowering also... The strain is incredible bulk.
A good indication of a plant going into reveg is a change from 1 and 3 fingered leaves to 5 fingered ones. Once you see any 5's popping in youre back in business. Do you see any new growth showing that? Sent from my SM-N920P using Grasscity Forum mobile app
