Here is the description for the bong Im trying to buy, "The bong's joint is 18.8, though the downtube that comes with it is a reducer, so the female joint of the downtube and the gold-rimmed bowl itself is 14.5." Im trying to buy a diffuser for it but I dont know if I should get the Reducing Diffuser 18.8 to 14.5 or vice versa. Im confused, please helP!
If you want to use a 14mm bowl, get an 18/14 reducing stem. The bong comes with an 18/18 stem, with an 18/14 converter.
Who lied, and how are you contributing to this thread? Maybe you need to read the description closer.
here is the truth! the downstem which is the glass tube that goes into the bong is 14/18 which means that the hole where the bowl goes is 14mm and the part of the stem that goes into the bong hole is 18mm where the bowl sits is 14 it is reduced because an 18 cant fit inside of the 18 hole it has 2 be smaller very commmon, if ur trying to buy a diffuser( a new downstem) you need a 14/18 if u want to use the same bowl or your other option is a 18/18 which will stick out from the bong more
Your probably right, its hard to tell from what op posted if it came with an 18/14 or an 18/18 with one of those reducers.
