after cloning how do i know when they have roots and when it is safe to put them under a bigger light
they'll be dormant for two to four weeks. the way i tell is when they start growing on top again. the first few weeks they will seem not to grow when in fact the roots are developing. once they are established then you'll start to notice new growth up above.
I clone in soil in a clear plastic cup, with drain hole added, of course. So I can see the roots no problem.
i just look for new growth some times it may take a whyle but the new growth is a definate sign, also the clear container works well call me cheap but thats why i use the milk galon to veg in you can see all the roots.
