Wood has some killer flavor to it...I've had a ton of those throughout my saga on this wretched Earth. Maple is nice, but there is all kinds of trees out there that can add to the flavor.
if only between THOSE TWO.....wood....acrylic is a waste honestly....it cracks, it's porous , so it holds resin and any cleaner in the plastic... Also you CANNOT use alcohol at all to clean it, straight melts it and can produce somewhat toxic fumes.....damn sure not safe to smoke...but neither is smoking out of ANY PLASTIC, which is all acrylic is.
