I have one stem on one plant out of four that in showing a curl issue. I thought this was going to easy the first two are the same buds from dif angles. the third is a bud from same plant green crack ffof flowering nutes big bud 1/2 recommended open sesame 1/2 recommended Water every 4-5 days soil ph 6.7 room temp running mid 40's by morning high 70's low 80's during the afternoon
looks like salt build-up/ might flush em 40 degree temp swing is tooooo much...could also be the culprit not sure
Joe could you give me your basis for the salt theory. I just see that you admitted in another recent thread to have started growing in the last year.
as far as 40 degree swing. its common in outdoor for these kind of swings. most strains here in Northern California are indoor/outdoor so they don't mind temps down low. Particularly the purple strains like it cold/hot/cold. it makes them color. as I understand form peeps on this forum
you say your ph is good. plants look heatlhy other than new growth. claw appearance makes me think overnute but you are obviously not overnuting them based on what you said you are feeding them, therefore beginning salt buildup could be cause. a good flush wont hurt them. or just chalk it up to genetics for now and wait it out. if the other plants arent showing anything similar and have been on the same regimen, i would not do anything...but you put up the post and i am just trying to help.
but what strain are you growing?? is it a strain that likes colder nightime temps? many sativa strains wont tolerate a 40 degree temp swing...fact!
I am not accusing you dude. I am just asking since you, joined in Nov 2010 asking for suggestion on your grow So I was just asking
np. i just like to give short reccomendations that wont screw anyone up. flushing is safe, and grow room should optimally be 40-60% humdity and no more than a 20 degree swing in temps.
Your leaves are tacoing and clawing. I would personally give them a shot of CalMag with a decent flush. The clawing is normally caused by over ferting, but some strains grow clawed leaves. Thats just my opinion. Search it yourself, taco and claw leaves.
Well it has been 2 days and the issue is not getting worse or spreading. it may in fact have gotten a little better
