25 watt flourescent, ffos soil, no nutes, just water. was using hard well water, 1 plant started to turn brown and stopped growing, so after some advice i bought a PH meter, and distilled water for watering and changed over 7 days ago. that plant has stopped turning..no new growth, but no more dead either.. so she is stable Yesterday 1 of my other plants started doing the same thing but on a much larger scale and is getting worse by the hour, the whole plant this time Ph runoff is 5.1 Also I did give them all an epson salt flush as well last week..teaspon per gallon of water I have attached pics of both plants..smaller 1 is the first problem child, larger plant is biggest concern now
Wow...this is something to behold, this is what you get by growing under BLUE lights, very little vertical growth, Ok the 25w Floro is way to small, minimum I go is 40w T8/ or 50wT5/ or 4x 23w CFL, you need to at least double your lighting and include a red light, a minimum of 50% red (2700 kelvin). No new growth?, any wonder you are pot bound, or should be! go get a pot of a minimum of 2 gallons best is 3 gallons, no food for 3 weeks as repotting will re feed them. Ph run off alters each time you water! Go to my blog and have a read in my library. peace "V"
Def root bound! Fox Farm Ocean Forest is pretty hot for young plants, the little one is fried. PH 5.1? Yikes, acid burned
