I was getting ready for my first set-up to start growing. I'm going with the bubble system and was wondering if I should use separate buckets for each plant or have one tub with about 6 plants in it.?
Separate buckets are easier to control also stops you having to mess with tangled roots should you want to chop at different times
Hello, I have had a couple different ideas for my setup but I have changed my mind a couple times. Originally I planned to have 2 mother plants....clone each one once....and then after 3 weeks move them into a tub with a drip setup. Eventually I plan to have 8 plants flowering at once, while keeping 2 clones and 2 mothers at all times (so I don't exceed my 12 plant limit). Well, if I am putting 2 new clones into the same tub that 2 plants have already been in for 3 weeks....I am going to be running into some nutrient problems. Since the plants that have already been in there for 3 weeks will be able to handle a stronger nutrient mixture than the 3 week old clone I realized that it just wouldn't work. Then I decided to do 8 separate buckets and keep each one self contained (a air pump and water pump in each one with the proper level of nutes in each one). But then I realized how expensive it would be to buy 8 air pumps and 8 water pumps. So now my plan is to have 4 separate smaller bins with 2 clones per, each one with a air and water pump and then I will just mix the nutes accordingly. This way each bin has 2 plants that are the same age and can handle the same strength nutes Hope this gives you some ideas. Thanks Spydaman Or if any pros read this.....am I wrong about the nutes being a problem with the new clones going into flower with the plants that have already been there for 3 weeks? Will the new clones be able to handle full strength nutes?
