Help, not sure what is wrong?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by CTabb83, Jan 15, 2022.

  1. Hey guys I'm not sure what is going on with this plant. My other one is doing awesome, but this one definitely has an issue.
    Soil-Ocean Forest
    Water-R/O & Cal-Mag

  2. Looks like calcium deficiency to me

  3. If its RO water and ocean forest soil there should be no issues with PH or nutrients this early in the plants life. That leads me to believe its been over watered which has caused a deficiency. Your soil looks soaked, you should only be watering it when the pot is light as a feather. Its also stretching a lot and needs a lighting upgrade sooner rather than later.

  4. Yeah its like that because I just transplanted yesterday. The leaves were really light prior then overnight the marks started showing up. So just back of on watering, how much Cal Mag is good for 1 gallon?

  5. Partially. Sometimes people who use RO water most often mis-judge how much CalMag to use.

Other factors that might cause a Ca deficiency is acidic soil, uneven watering, *overfeeding*, and simply the calcium being in an insoluble form either due to new organic material or incompatible fertilizer mixing

  6. could be ammonium burns too. I hear sometimes OF soil can be hot. Make sure that your soil pH is at a good place (~6.3), and yea, lighten up on the wet soil. Might want to lower the RH some.

If you are using RO water, they say you should start out with the calmag before adding your base from what I have read and been told. But 2 ml of calmag in RO water should be 100 ppm in one gallon of water or 0.2 EC but others who use it all the time may chime in and help you out.

  9. For RO water, I always add 1.5mL calmag (or calnesium) per 4L during veg. I even add this when using Clonex solution.

  10. I appreciate all the info guys! I'll be sure to keep notes and learn from it. Luckily it isn't my main plant. It's literally a random. This is the one I'm really hoping is F. 20220115_123826.jpg

  12. I have been. I topped after 5 nodes and started LST. I have a couple ties going and I'm experimenting using lead strips I saved from my aquarium plants. I'm using them to weigh down the taller branches so the ones below get more light 20220115_163326.jpg
