I always recommend topical ointment applied directly to the pain. If you can find one that is close to 50:50 THC:CBD that would be best. I use my ointment once a day at bed time because it is kind of high in THC and the buzz helps me sleep. Making your own ointment from fresh raw Kief (the dust sifted off the flowers and leaves) can work well and reduce the potential for her to get a buzz from the medicine.

Here is the recipe I use to make my ointment, just avoid the Hash Oil to avoid the buzz:

Regular daily use improves effectiveness but really unless she is willing to get on some form of regular mild exercise program to strengthen her back she wont get as much relief from any thing even the MMJ as she can have if she does. Yoga, Qigong, Tai Chi, doesn't mater which she chooses the MMJ works better with exercise.

  3. Have you suggested a vaporizer? They provide the quick relief of smoking with none of the harmful combustion byproducts. :D A little little Vapor Brothers, Silver Surfer, etc isn't too expensive.

Stay away from the $50 ebay knock-offs- they REEK of plastics and the heating element may not be safe! Here are a few articles about vapes-

Plus, the "leftovers" make nice "day use" brownies.

Edibles give my hubby better relief from his back pain, however. Go easy with the edibles until Mom gets a feel for the high! Too much can give her an unpleasant experience.

Look for glycerin tinctures at the local dispensary. No alcohol burn :hello:, so she can roll it around in her mouth longer to get more of the THC through her mouth tissues. It tastes sweet, so it is much nicer than alcohol. :D

WildWill has a recipe to make your own, but it takes a while to do it right-

  4. kief turtles?

  5. I would agree with all the above posters...Just be careful to and give her small doses to begin with. I have seen a few people get too high, not enjoy it and then not want to try it again. This gives Mary a bad name. The first experience with a substance is usually the most intense/remembered. Go easy.

Cheers and I hope she feels better...
