help me; the perfect stoner car

  1. I'm looking to buy a car, my first car; and I'm thinking of getting one to use for hotboxing seshes. So I'm looking at the VW Westfalia and it seems pretty cool. I'm wondering what other kind of cars are similar --- I'm specifically looking for a roomy, comfortable van/bus/camper that has enough seats, a fridge/sink, beds, table, counter, cabinets etc. I'd like the sitting area to be oriented in a circle or such, so no one has to turn around in their seats to keep up a conversation (ie. a rotating 'shotgun' chair). Any tips on models and makes? Or mods?

  2. why would you want a van/camper or bus? you wanna look like a herb or something?

  3. I know a guy with a ol ass vans from like the 70's. Looks like the van from scooby doo.

In the back is 2 recliners and a bed. Faygo 2 liters n shit hahah.

Always smoked out that thing deep. Tinted windows.

  4. You could get those 80's chevy van's and throw a bunch of seats in the back in a circle and bolt a hookah on the floor in the middle... do whatever you want. Those are all gas guzzlers though. If you want the perfect stoner car get a mid 90's 300E (Mercedes-Benz) they're around $5000 and they're great cars. So comfortable, perfect driving experience. Great quality, these things last past half a million miles no sweat. Perfect for parking extended periods of time and hot boxxing. Not to mention they look badass.

  5. I would advise you to get something that draws as little attention to yourself as possible. I drive a late 70's Malibu and i mean, its the only one that is in this good shape in my town, so it stands out like a sore thumb. Its good cause it sorta looks like an old person car, but also looks like something a drug dealer in Florda in 1990 would be driving (I dunno, i mean, it looks sorta sketchy cause its like a "pimp mobile" almost, 15's though, no dubs, haha)
If you're gonna be trying to avoid attention, I'd get something like a mid 90's Corolla, preferably that gold color they had..... or a Saturn or something..... something that doesnt look like you've got a lot of money (at the same time not looking like it shouldnt be on the road), and something that isnt easily recognized. I drive by a cop, they know exactly who I am (not my name, but they know where i hang out and where i drive and stuff), but if you're in the same car that 40% of the rest of the population drives, such as a Camry or something, you could drive by the same cop a dozen times in an hour and he probably wouldnt think twice. Ya know?
And dont trick your car out. It just BEGGGGS "PULL ME OVER AND SEARCH MY CAR!"

  6. man, the westfalia is an AWESOME van. my friend has one, and we hotbox that thing hardcore allll the time. its the perfect vehicle.

  7. The more compact it is, the better for hotboxing.

My buddy's got a fuckin' Z3 and the inside is soo small... yet he doesn't smoke.

  8. Get a small truck with a shell, that way if its just you and a bud you can hotbox the cab in no time, and if its more that 2 of you could hop in the back for more room. Plus having a truck is usefull if you buy anything large like a new couch to chill at home on.

  9. One of my friends has an old VW Bus. Its AMAZING! He turned the passengers seat into a rotating swivel chair, the whole back half of the van is covered in shag carpet. He took out the middle seat and made the back seat into a couch type thing. He has a sink and the roof of the van opens up into a camper. On the outside he painted Make Peace on one side and Not War on the other. PIMP

  10. panels have no windows, but they look like child-molester-mobiles.

VW busses are sweet, but they're slow, finicky, and are often way overpriced

your best bet is an older dodge caravan/ford windstar/etc. minivans dont attract unwanted attention, are cheap to buy and relatively cheap on fuel. we box my friend's windstar all the time. take out the seats and throw my friend's climbing mat in and we're good to go.

  11. Westfalia for shure man...I was in your same position last year when I was gonna get my first car, I got in a money pinch and couldnt get a good one.....if you want a vintage looking car (but with a shit load more problems, breakage, etc.) get a 70's Westfalia....if you want a good one that wont break down (and is way nicer and easier to use the camping equpment) then get a 86' to 90'.....I wish I got that car.....

  12. or you could just keep the couch in the back and chill there, whereever you go lol

  13. thanks, great ideas.

  14. personally i'd go for any car with alot of consealed compartments. steath is the greatest asset to any stoner, who doesn't wanna get caught? =]

  15. Get a late 90's early 00's minivan that looks eh with your typical soccer mom feel, but with tinted windows in at least the back seats and rear window. It will be less likely that you get pulled over for speeding or basically anything. Put a pair of 10in subs or 12 in subs in the back for those long rides in the country, and who doesn't love the feeling of deep bass on your back when you're stoned? This next thing is the most important. You need to be able to take out the back two rows of seats. At the very least remove the middle row. Then just use some ingenuity to place some comfy side seats, maybe body pillows.

    God I miss my baby.

  16. I say go for it. I personally like the euro style vans better, but whatever.

    Looks beautiful^^

  17. NO DON'T DO IT!!!! GET AN MR2 INSTEAD LOL

Those VW Campervan thingys are quite cool, i quite like the retro stuff but am more into modern stuff, thats why I got the MR2, made in 1990 but looks like it was designed in 2007!

Hope you find a decent van thingy and dont get ripped off like most of us do bud

  18. you want a tiny little car that'll hotbox quickly, shows that you don't have much money (if any), and has a shit-ton of compartments. the toyota yaris has 20!! i've never seen one in person, but the 4 door looks like it might not fit in your pocket, which is a plus.

  19. how wrong you are. slow kinda, finicky hell no. over priced for what. i can go and buy half a dozen that are under 2k
