  1. Sup guys..
Ok this is very random but.......
Im trying to come up with some ideas for my presentation and im drawing some blanks.
I am taking business ethics, and tomorrow we got a group presentation / debate goin on. Basically heres the deal.. Its a group of 6 people. 3 people are for the argument, and 3 people are against the argument. The argument is:

"Should Tobacco Companies be responsible for educating the youth regarding the dangers of tobacco smoking?"

I have to take a perspective, which is "Social". I am on the against team, so what I have to do, is argue to the class that tobacco companies should NOT be responsible for educating youth regarding dangers...

Now, pretend you are arguing FOR the tobacco company..

Do the tobacco companies have a social responsiblity to educate youth?
    Why ?
(compare it to alcohol , etc)
If anyone can think of some arguments I can throw in, that would be cool...
(For example, Alcohol causes x ammount of deaths, yet arent required to provide education on dangers, etc... something like that)

    CONVINCE me that they don't!!!
    (even if you feel otherwise)

    :)

  2. ha, if you want a real good argument you're kind of asking a lot. I mean, I can give you questions that might work. But I do not know really what im talking about, I cant give numbers or statistics or that stuff.

But first thing I thought of when I saw this was. Isn't it pretty obvious that a tobacco company would be extremely biased in this situation? I can't think of many things on the spot right now, but hey. A quick reply is better than nothing

  3. So are you the lawyer or the tobacco company, if your the lawyer its easy, resign and use the statement, "upon further sole searching I cannot argue for or against, as I think my dirtbag client should have to pay for the education children, but I don't want them responsible for actually teaching my children. That would be like having a wolf watching your sheep!"

  4. I am no one. I am simply a person making an argument that it is not the responibility of the tobacco companies to provide smoking education to the youth
