Help me make a decision. (probation question)

    Hey guys. This is my 2nd post on the grasscity forums, first one was made a LONG time ago in a growing thread. I'm here to ask for help once again.

    Last august I got busted for possession. It was a bunch of bullshit, but whatever, it happened. I avoided a felony charge (anything in wisconsin past your first conviction is automatic felony) and got misdemeanor and 1 year of probation.

    I just had my last visit with my PO. I have yet to be drug tested a single time, even when first put on probation. There was never a single drug test I have taken associated with this conviction. I got dropped down to minimum supervision about halfway through my year, so I visited with my PO every 3 months instead of every month. Each visit has been a very quick, 5-minute "hey, how are you, still staying out of trouble, ok, see you in 3 months" kind of deal. I did complete a retarded couple of visits with a drug counselor right at the start but we ended up talking more about my mental health than my drug use by far.

    So, it's October first. I have no more visits scheduled with my PO. I get off probation November 7. Guys, is it cool if I start smoking again? What are the chances my PO would spring a surprise drug test on me right at the end after leaving me alone for 11 months (I have stayed completely clean)? Anyone with probation experience, please let me know. My PO has been quite cool so far but it just trips me out you know, I want to smoke so badly yet I'm scared of getting popped with a surprise UA.

    Also: What would be the BEST and WORST case scenarios if I were to fail a surprise drug test for THC?

    If you get tested, you go to jail. Don't smoke yet.

    Not worth the risk man, smoking now will only set you back farther if you get caught. Wait until November just to be safe.

    I was on probation, then I smoked religiously, then I went to prison, then I was on parole, then I had a long talk with my parole officer about my constant smoking habit and informed him I didn't stop for probation or while in prison. Smoked through out my parole without incident. Long story short, you wanna goto prison??

    Not uncommon for a po to test as you gettin discharged.

    If you fail you get a "probation violation" charge which will likely land you in jail for awhile and extend your probation. Will you get drug tested? Probably not. Is it worth the shit that will come down onto your life if you get caught? No.

    Wait the month.

    Well thanks guys.... Even though I hate it I guess I'll wait another month.... It just sucks, it gets harder and harder the closer I get to being off papers, especially with never having been tested.

    Oh we totally understand. Being in your situation fucking blows. But it just isn't worth the potential anal fucking you will receive from the mighty dick of the law if you get caught.
