Help me get back into vaping please!

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by PhorTwonie, Jul 7, 2023.

  1. Hello everyone! I haven’t been on the forums in quite sometime. I took about a 8 year break from cannabis due to a major issue I had with an opiate problem. I have been clean for 8 years now and I am ready for cannabis to be in my life again. I used to have a Hot Box vape with a gong whip attachment and I really miss it! So the vape I want to buy needs to be able to attach to a bong. What do you all recommend? My spending flexibility is from let’s say $150-$250 USD. Any recommendations or help would greatly be appreciated!

  2. I'd recommend clicking the grasscity headshop button at the top of the page and do some browsing.

  3. Thanks for your reply. I have searched the grasscity store and I didn’t find anything that really stuck out.

  4. I like my Roffu and it is in the lower end of your price range. Convection and temperature control. I have added several interchangeable oven chambers. The full kit comes with a glass chamber and a stainless steel chamber. The steel chamber hits a little harder. I also added dosing capsules and several extra oven chambers. I like to preload and then just sit in my chair and choose from several options (strains). The dosing capsules in the steel chamber add some conduction to the convection. I added several extra 18650 batteries so I always have a charged one available. I use an external charger. I recommend convection and replaceable batteries.

I have seen users attach it to a bong. They rigged an adapter, inverted the Roffu and placed it on the adapter. I have seen a lot of adaptions for bongs on other vapes. I don't feel the need for a bong. I generally use low temps and the resulting vapor is mild. 340°F/171°C for my best weed up to 380°F/193°C for some of the other strains.

Vaping is an art as well as a science. I have been at it for six months and am still learning. Different temps, different strains, all sorts of adapters and toking styles. I have settled on three minute sessions, if I need more I simply do a second session. I am good with the stock Roffu. I bought a second so I can have a choice. One with a new load and the other with spent weed if I want a buzz.

The Tinymight2 is on my short list as a replacement but exceeds your price range.

The best vaporizer to use with a bong is the Elev8r (E-coil version). They're made by 7th floor which is one of the most reputable vaporizer companies among hardcore vapeheads. I've used the Da Buddha and Vapexhale for many years and they were good vapes, but the Elev8r blows them out of the water. If you want to find a community that is more knowledgable about the current and best vaporizers and vaping in general FuckCombustion(.com) is where it's at.

  7. I'm still liking my vaporbrothers vb1 after over 8 years of daily use. I recently found out about ball vapes, and was considering an upgrade, but then I saw over at FC that people have been ball modding their vb1 vapes, and that it works so well that the vaporbrothers company now offers a ball modding service as well as pre-modded "vb1.5" units.

Congratulations on being clean for 8 years! That's a significant accomplishment, and I'm glad to hear that you're considering integrating cannabis back into your life responsibly. Given your desire to attach a vape to a bong, I'd recommend looking into the "d8superstore" https://d8superstore.com/ . They offer a variety of vapes that are compatible with bongs and within your budget range of $150-$250 USD.

  9. Try vaping Delta 9 ... you will like it.

  11. Do you want a portable vaporizer or a desktop vaporizer?

Do you want it to be electric?
Butane vapes are a thing but I could understand if you want a electric one.

If you want a desktop vaporizer i highly recommend cloud Connoisseur zeal
Its a ballvape with coil. They also sell a coil less edition.

Electric portable Tinymight2 is a nice one. Use it with j hook, bong and stuff.

I mostly use my zeal and a couple butane vapes.

Mega quartz cap is a 55 dollar vape from trww(the rogue wax works) in all glass. It smacks and gives good taste. Use with j hook or bong.

The stunner is a 9mm torch driven portable ballvape. Heat it for 20 seconds and hit it. Its also on sale now. Comes with a stem.
