OK i have a few outdoor plants and one of them i am going to force flower as a experiment with a trash can it's really small and has shown pre flowers. So can anyone help me figure out a light schedule that doesn't mean i have to treck to my spot at 5 in the morning. + REP for anyone that helps.
There is no way around visiting it twice a day if you want to force flowering right now. You'll need to cover it around 7PM and uncover it around 7AM every day. EDIT: It will also keep growing taller and bushier so I doubt a garbage can is big enough unless it's a runt.
yep, 12/12 means going there twice but why bother for a small plant since it will flower naturally in a few weeks. GL
Thanks man i cant rep you because i did the other day But yeh it's a runt alright the runtiest runt i have ever seen It's not a problem visiting it everyday just wandering if theres a light schedule which would be more conveniant
Because i live in the UK And it's a sativa dominant, it might but if i flower it now it will have more of a chance
Don't bump your threads like that. It's not only against the rules, but your question has already been answered. The UK is really a bad place to be growing outdoors at all.
Yeh i know it is but until i get some CFL's i will have to make due with what i have, it's bad but not impossible
Indoors they use 12/12 to flower. Seeing this is experimental, I would say use the same schedule. What time does the sun go down? come up? If you want to be able to go there later in the day, then add the extra hours to the morning. For instance, if it's completely dark by 10PM, then put the can over it after that and take it off at 10AM. Just an idea. Let us know how it turns out.
Yeh That sounds like it could work it's 9.19 PM now and it's still light but getting dark so it should either be dark at like 10 or half 10
for sativa strains, flower them indoors for 2 weeks then take them out several weeks after the solstice, July 10, they will continue flowering. It depends on lat. but can be done. BUt your best bet is to get seed bank genetics that finish where you are.
I will be doing that next year, all i could get was bag seed, so are you saying after july the 10 they will continue to flower ?? even in the UK i assume it's no different but just wandering
yes that's the idea. Technically they can be placed out in flower (from indoors 2 weeks) after the solstice, June 21st, and they will go on flowering. But most growers who do that place them out after July7
