Help me diagnose this problem

  1. So I have a honey B which I vegged for 11 weeks, that is now 10 days into flowering. She is nice and tall and bushy and is starting to bud. The thing is, a lot of her leaves have been turning brown or yellow, sometimes curled up, a few have had holes in them, a few have had orange spots on them. Just a variety of problems. It seems that something is eating away at the leaves.

I can't find any insects, and while I have had problems with mold in the past, I have good ventilation and have maintained humidity around 45% so I doubt it is mold.

Pictures of my defficiencies can be found in post 157 and 158 in the link to my journal. If anyone can help me identify the problem, I would be very appreciative. Thanks!

  2. took a look...could be a number of things...but first things first can you check you pH runoff?

  3. I had a similar problem, with an indica dominant variety I have been working with.I cut my tap water w/ro water(tds 160) and cut my ec to 1.4. This did the trick for me.I feed about every 6 days.

  4. So you think the problem is that I'm using tap water. I adjust the pH and the runoff is about 6.7. Trying to bring it down to 6.5 but I don't think 6.7 should be devastating to her. Maybe tap water is bunk and I need to get a brita or something?

  5. Britta won't due, reverse osmosis water is what u need. They have it at the grocery store outside in a dispenser for 25cents a gallon.I t has almost no total dissolved solids in it, municipal tap water has a high tds(mine is 275-350) u mix the water together to get in the150-170 range. Then mix food and check tds again,750-850 is a good range. I use half the food recommendations and make sure there's plenty of run off. Also, if the problem isn't rocketing up the plant don't worry about it. Minor things like k def may not affect overall yield. Your ph range sounds good.

  6. the tap is fine actually...if you continue to use it, just let it sit out for a couple of hours to let the chlorine evaporate...i have taken to bubbling my water for a couple of hours before use with good results after bringing the pH down from a solid 8 to around 5.8-5.9...using the R.O is fine, but it has no calcium in it...your tap does and your plants can use it...just another spin before you start spending...
