all right i showed my dad my plant and he said i probaly have a male bc he said it is to tall and not bushy enough or the stem was not strong enough to hold up any thing any way i will post pics soon
awesome dad* ..... thats not entirely true, all it shows is you might have to wait a little longer to see if its a male or female.
hi. your light might be too far away, your plant might be stretching for more light so instead of concentrating on growing branches and leaves it's growing more stem. what kind of lights are you using, how close to the plant are they? we could help you out a lot more if we knew what your setup was like. good luck with the grow. socki
i have a 400 watt MH and it is a foot and a half to two feet away it is directly above the plant and i have 2 giant reflectors that go in a v shape and the plant sits in the middle of the reflectors for more sunlight and that what i was thinking so i put it flower stage last night to see. My plant is maybe 3 feet to 3 and a half feet tall and has 10 fan leaves they are all within a foot of the top and the bottom of the plant is a stem for two feet and out of the nodes leaves are starting to pop out. any more Ideas?
No you can't tell just by the way the plant looks if it's male or female unless it has shown it's preflowers. Theres two links to show you what a male and female preflower look like. If they are not present at the moment (usually takes 3-6weeks) then you can put it into flowering and find out or just cover one branch (using a few brown bags block the light to one branch for 12 hours on 12 off).
