I'm not sure if this is root rot. It doesn't look "normal" tho. They're in bubble buckets. What do you guys think? If it is, what should I do? Pls any advice would be appreciated.
it looks like they're getting a little bit slimy. start using H202 once every 1-2 weeks, or you can use enzymes like sensizyme, prozyme, or hygrozyme (what i use) once a week.
How much hydrogen peroxide do I use? And should I rinse them with it or add it to the reservoir? Sorry jus a first timer. I'm really bummed about my roots. Oh and should they be so "fat"? it's like they made little clumps.
Use food grade hydrogen peroxide. The regular hydrogen peroxide that is probably under your sink may not be food grade.
just a warning h202 will kill any pest, fungi, or bacteria (bacteria including beneficial bacteria from Great White Mycorrhizae) from the grocery store its 97% H20 and 3% H202. you can use 10-15mL per gallon. if for agricultural use, it will most likley be 29% H202 and 71% H20. with this you use 3-5mL/gal. after about 12 hours in the H202 water solution, change the water out for your usual hydro solution and voila! Magic! (if you heard the new T.I./Future song youll know what i mean) the pathogens should be dead and you should be cool. make sure you clean out your container for any dead tissue. you should do this (use H202) once every two weeks to keep the roots clean. your roots should be cool a few days after the treatment that hydrogen peroxide is safe for plant use. just watch out for commercial grade, where there may be as much as 75-98% H202 .
