  1. so i bought one of these...
    http://cgi.ebay.com/INTERMATIC-8-OU...ryZ46314QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i cant figure the damn thing out, i want to switch to 20/4 and progress down over the next 4 weeks to flowering, but i cant get this damn thing to work. Maybe itll turn off at 12 like its supposed to.

Does anyone else have one and did you have trouble setting the on/off time? Anyone, i searched google for instructions, the maker doesnt even have it on their site...

I wasnt sure where to put this post either, hopefully i get a good answer or some good help.

  2. Sometimes you have to "Cycle" the timer, basically you use the Manual button to get the timer on to the setting that it would be on if it was running in "timed" mode,
so say you are in the night time (of the timer setting) when you set it up, you use the manual button to go to "on" then to "Auto" then to "Off" and finally back to "Auto", if it was meant to be in the "on" mode you would simply go Off-Auto-On-Auto

I hope thats understandable coz I'm wrecked and aint sure if it is

  3. im not sure if it is either, i cycled through the on, off, auto, and random, then back to auto but the lights dont come back on in auto.

Any other ideas or a clearer description of what greenfingered1 tried to explain?

  4. I'll try again LOL

My timer has a central button, with "Manual" on it, that allows me to switch the timer manually to On, Off or Auto,
So say my timer is Off and I am just plugging everything into it and need it to be turned On and then continue to function in Auto mode, to do this I have to press the "manual" button until the marker on the display goes to Auto, then once more so that it goes to On, I then press the button one last time so that the marker returns to Auto, I had a good look round for the manual for your timer but couldn't find it even on their own site

  5. a little off the subject, but I think you will find, that dropping your time to 12/12 works best if you do it all at once. That way you max your growth during the veg cycle and minimize your overall grow time. But that 's my opinion.

  6. well greenfingered1, i just hit the mode button, which i figure is manual for yours, and for the first time the lights didnt turn off. idk what it was or anything maybe it just needed time to go past the settings or something. Ill update tonight if im home when its set to turn off.

well then chimera what do you think is a good lighting schedule, ive got 3 plants, 2 are 4 weeks of 24/7 veg and the baby is 2 weeks on the same.

thanks guys, this is why i love the city.

  7. Thats cool. I didn't know they made multi-outlet timers like that.

  8. me either, but its real sweet, the only thing is that its only 4 timed outlets, but they are still sweet as hell. This one ran me like $20 which would be paid for a surge protector anyway... you can set 6 different timer settings, i reccomend them to everyone for the trouble they can save with lighting schedules!
