It should be fine. Most plants wont stress too badly unless you cut off 1/3 or more. In the future, I would LST, less stress and you get a better result IMO.
Well I was planning to lst after it recovers from the top. Is that not a good idea? This is my first plant ever and I'm just trying to learn what I can to increase yield as much as possible. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Let it recover for a while and then you can LST as needed. In the future though, don't top, just LST a lot, you can do it gradually.

For next year, depending on where you live, put it out early. I put mine out March 29th this year in a greenhouse. They are huge already. Put them out early in a greenhouse, in the ground, if weather permits. Asside from letting them veg longer, LST like I mentioned will increase yield, and lastly care will impact yield. Work the soil after this season and prepare it for next year early. Good Luck!
I'm indoors actually so season doesn't matter much and I got a 400w MH/HPS setup. I was thinking of trying ScrOG next time I've seen amazing results with that but don't know much about it. what you did was perfect. you asked about more yield. topping that plant now gives you more tops and the plant gets more roots! that is what you want , as she grows and she will grow faster now. then trelis and tie downs and more topping or fim (fuck i missed) by not quite taking all the top leaves but almost. then sog or srog because then you will have the foundation for it! im just new to this site

hey are you going to make this mother? is this a fem seed, reg seed, auto. If its reg seed then as she grows two tops wait till they have 6 or 7 nodes take a cutting of it to clone and sex it out. if its auto dont top any more. just remember the more you know the better you can grow be safe

24/0 under a metal haliide is unneccesary IMO. they would be fine under 18/6, would be less heat, less elec use, and im of the opinion, nature gets dark it should indors as well even for a min of 4 hrs.
I agree, I run 1,000 watt MH in veg and dont want to run that hot bitch all night long. Let everybody cool off. I run 16/8 sometimes too.

Well after the top it looks like some new growth is already coming in! I got her under a 400w MH light now and just gave my first go at LST. What do y'all think? The second pic is of the new growth at the topped spot. How far away should I keep this MH light? My canopy temp is staying around 84 degrees right now it's about 18" above canopy.
