Shocking a plant into buds???? That's new. Patience is the key to growing. Keep the plant on 12/12 and the buds will come. If you do try to shock it by doing something rash, you could stress it enough to make it a hermaphrodite. Be nice to your plant!
I think he means jump starting it into the flower cycle. To do this you put them in 36 hours of dark before you switch your lights to 12/12.
he already started flowering tho, shoulda read up on it before you started. I haven't heard anything either in terms of once flowering was already started, pre-flowering, dexorated is right, 24-36 dark period is said to help encourage bud growth if done before going 12/12.
if you havent done so yet, feed the plant 2 teaspoons of peroxide per gallon of water, you may have an issue under the soil thats preventing the plant to induce flower. lots of times its too high nitrogen, not enough oxygen, roo rot, root bound, pH is too high or too low, or it may just need more time. I had my lights on 12/12/ for 21 days before all of my plants showed sex and started budding.
