It's my 4th grow and trying my hand at Autoflowers so I'm growing some Mephisto Fugue State and the top/newer growth is doing a reverse taco effect pretty hard. Not sure what it could be. From what I have read I thought it was maybe from overwatering but when I stick my finger down pretty deep the soil isn't saturated or anything and is somewhat dry. Root rot maybe? 1st time running into this issue. I'm a stoopid grower so I don't freaking know lol. Any idea would be much appreciated! 3x3x6 grow tent 6inch inline fan running 24/7 with 6inch clip fan pointed at wall so the wind isn't too hard. Temp: 73-83 200 Watt LED 2 plants Rh: 40 Happy Frog medium with Foxfarm trio at 1/4 strength(following schedule) Ph: 7.00
IMO you need to drop your pH levels down in you water. Try to get it down to 6.2 -6.5. Maybe a bit over watered too…
drop your ph to 6.5 like JMcGD suggest also when you feed give the plant a little bit then wait a few min and water again, ideal is slow so you know for sure your getting the whole medium , some folks just dump and move on , in a hot envorment the soil will pull away from the pot and when they water it just runs right down the sides and out to a drain pan. also with your nutes use ec or ppm levels instead of guessing , you say a 1/4 strength, but what level is that , your depending on the manufactures word and they do sell nutes if you dig, if you go to a feed chart and run ec or ppm ranges it will work out much better for you
I'd agree with both JMcGD and old shol4evr. Lower your pH to 6.5 and lower your feed rate. When I ran Fox Farm soil and trio line. I rarely went over 600 ppms for anything I grew. I was using a very similar set up as you are.
also there schedule has so many things on it you dont need at all , i have used the trio alone for years and been high many days hahah by using most of those takes the main course of ec/ppm away , so i stick to just the trio when i used it
I originally used RO water at 6.5 for my first few grows but my neighbor who has been growing for 40 years is on the same Well as me and told me we have pretty good well water and to try it out, and honestly I haven't been able to tell a difference the past couple of grows. I feel like I would have seen this b4 if it was bc of the Ph but I'll try it out. I know certain strains can be peculiar. So ill try it out and on my next run I think I'll do one of each so I can see a direct comparison.
