This is the light and Nutes that I have picked out and I was wondering if it was ok for 1 plant in a greenhouse. And how often do I water and nute. I a, afraid I'm going to fuck something up. Will I be able to have a good harvest without injecting co2? I am in the greenhouse a lot so that should help right? Thank you for your help anything else that would help plz share
    1 400w Hps plus ballast
    Single outlet mecanicle timer
My nute system is PH Perfect sensi 2

  2. Watering is something you'll nail down as you go along. At first, try using a toothpick or Popsicle stick and stick it down into the soil about 2-3 inches. If it comes out clean and you sense dryness, time to water. Over time, you'll learn exactly when your plant needs water. If you see leaves drooping then you know it's time. Don't overdo it. Cannabis doesn't need tons of water to thrive.

CO2 is a great addition but is not necessary for a quality grow. The results will come faster with CO2 but you won't get more bud. Your yield will depend on how healthy and big the plant gets. The bigger, usually the better amount of bud.

  3. Thank you does is matter that I have a big greenhouse if I only grow 1

  4. As long as most of the light are shining on it and its at a good temerature it doesnt really matter

  5. I am going to start out with a clone and a couple questions are they all girls? Or do they change and what should I look for when I pic mine out

Any ideas on strains I think I might do super lemon haze but if you know any better plz share

  6. Depends if the mother who you cut the clone from is a gril than yes they all will be girls.

It's ur choice on the strain but i recomend banna kush

  7. Hey that's my cow, welcome.
    A couple things:

    1) If it is a big greenhouse you might want to consider partitioning off the grow area with something reflective so that the light stays in that area vs bouncing all around the green house (you'll lose a lot of light that way). Something like panda plastic (plastic sheeting that's white on one side, black on the other) would work well and it'd be easy to install- you want the white (reflective) surface facing the light.

    2) As far as strain selection, go with what you like. You might want to try an easy strain with a shorter flowering time for your first grow. Sativas and sativa-dominant hybrids (like super lemon haze) tend to be more finicky and temperamental than indicas and indica-dominant hybrids. Sativas also take a lot longer to flower. Just something to think about. Although if you have a greenhouse I assume you have some gardening experience and in that case you should be fine with whatever strain you choose.

Remember to KISS (keep it simple stoner) and LITFA (leave it the f* alone). Don't fuss with your plants too much and don't do unnecessary stuff. Plants grow much better when they are ignored a little than they do when they are over-tended.

  8. Check out the following:
BOOK: The Cannabis Grow Bible by Greg Green
Videos: Jorge Cervantes Grow DVD's (You can find them on youtube)

The following is great for a first grow for anyone

    SOIL:
    Fox Farm Ocean Forest

    NUTRIENTS:
Advanced Nutrients Line (can be expensive)
    Fox Farm Line(budget friendly)

NOTE: If you are growing outdoors the following information you do not need to read.
    INDOOR GROWERS

    Exhaust Fan:
Each fan has a rating that tells you how many cubic feet of air per minute (CFM) it will move. When dealing with above average temperatures you will want your fan to exchange the grow room air 3-5 times in one minute, so for a room that is 40 cubic feet, a fan that is capable of moving 120-200 cfm (cubic feet per minute) is recommended. If you only want to replace depleted levels of co2 and are growing in a closet using fluorescents, one room change per five minutes (divide room size by 5) will be adequate.

So depending on the size of the room you will need a fan to actually REMOVE the air....not just let it naturally vent

    Lighting
HID - Metal Halid (Veg stage)/ High Pressure Sodium(flowering stage)
    and/or
CFL - Compact Flourescent (Cheaper but nowhere near as efficient)

    Grow Room/Tent
You can search "Amazon.com" for grow tents.
Depending on your needs you can get a small tent 2x2', but if you ever plan on growing more plants i would suggest going with a 4'x4' tent just so you have the space. Also a 600w MH/HPS kit would be more than efficient in there

If you plan on growing in a closet always line the walls with mylar and ventilation is necessary

YOUR BEST BET IS TO LOOK AT SOME OF THE GROW JOURNALS ON THESE FORUMS AND PICK UP TIPS AS YOU GO ALONG
