HELP..CONCENTRATES/OIL

    Ok grasscity tokers here's the question of the day... Can I take my "afghan" style hasish and convert it into oil using 99% ISO or another non polar solvent? My idea was to heat the hash up until it was nice and soft and then I was going to heat the ISO a little so it would dissolve easier..after i got it all dissolved I was going to use coffee filters to filter out any solids left over and then let ISO evaporate. Will this yield good oil? The hasish is very high quality if that makes a difference.. If y'all could let me know what you think that would be stellar. Thank you!     Yeah you could do that. Coffee filters work great for filtering it. You can evaporate it with a fan over it for a few days. Or you could do it with heat on a stove or light it with a lighter. Your best bet is to do it on the stove.

    Depending how your hash was extracted, or if it was heated after it might not make the best oil especially using solvents. Check out the Rosin method and give that a try, just press out the hash a few mm thick and sandwich between a 90-25 micron heat resistant screen or tea bag and sandwich that between parchment paper then press for a few seconds at high heat with a hair straightener. Theres lots of videos on youtube that probably are more informative than I.

    Yeah you can light with a lighter.I've done it lots. Just pour it on a plate and light it in a safe place that won't burn down. Obviously not inside a room with carpet Lol. But just light the plate, blow out the flame and continue doing it til it won't light and all that's left is beautiful oil

    It just evaporates it. Its not like its gasoline holy Fuck Lol. Just alcohol. I know lots of people who do it that way.

    Burning is not evaporation and it is a dangerous way to do it. A sealed heating element and a fan (in a well ventilated area) or even just a fan, is the way to go.
     
    Do not recommend dangerous methods to other users. :smoke:

    It may have worked, but so has purge methods that result in explosions.
