I'm not sure which subforum to post this is but I did it here. But hey I recently got 2 Polk audio 12" db1222 in a dual enclosure box, rated at 750w rms and 1440 peak. (it said something about 2 ohms) My buddy brought me a spare 600w insignia amp, at the time I didn't know much about ratings(still don't) so I don't know them exactly. But anyway, when we tried to test them the protection mode light popped up on the amp, and the subs popped really far forward. My buddy said the amp was drawing too much power. Soo unless somebody has any idea what's wrong with it, I need help buying a new amp. Preferably something that can handle them without bottlenecking. Somewhere within the $100-150 range.
