Hey everyone, Ive been around the forums for a few weeks now and seem to understand how growing works but have yet to put it to actual use. Im still confused about my lighting issues so maybe you can help. my room size is gonna be 2.6'x2'x3' with about 3 plants if possible and i dunno if i should go with a 250 HID or t5 flouros. I would rather have the hid setup since im looking for max yeild but im concerned about the heat issues. Because of the limited amount of space I planned on doing the Scrog method. So which setup would be the best for my plans?Thx
Welcome to the City. You are right to be concerned about heat in that space with a 250w HID. Is there any way you can get more height? If not, you will need to move a lot of cool air in and through the grow space. Possibly investigate a cool tube. You could do pretty good in that space with some high wattage CFLs or tube flouros, as long as you can raise and lower them to stay very close to the plants and use supplemental lighting on the sides.
