  1. Looking to learn with these bag seeds before i use my seeds i bought from attitude.

    using 5 CFL 26 watt 6500k and 1 42 watt 2700k
    pikes nursery soil

    all of these sprouts are the exact same age from day 1, which is about a week old after they broke the surface

    If i want to check the pH of the runoff do I have to wait until the next time i water because this one plant may not make it that long. someone posted on another thread that peat moss or something is bad news for growing? good thing i didn't use my fem seeds yet lol. I included a picture of the ingredients in my soil in case that would help with a diagnosis. I guess i know i need to check the pH and i will get a meter but i don't think they will last until the next watering haha from what people post i think my soil may be too acidic or have too much fert or something.

    It looks like a bunch of different problems could cause my plant to look like this. what do you guys think?? thanks a bunch.

    Its like they are all growing at completely different rates and appear to be stunted but then again i don't know a whole lot i just read a ton and was wondering if there is anything i can do today or until i know the pH i am using only distilled water to water them with as well. thanks

  2. sorry here is also a picture of the entire setup as well thanks

  3. The soil is way hot for your burnt babies. Since ur using bag seed u prolly have different genetics in there, so some may thrive where others will die. Try starting over w some seed starting soil mixed 50/50 w perlite.

  4. you say the soil is hot in refrence to the ingred. on the back of the bag right?? so if they make it to transplant will it hurt to go ahead and switch to FFOF? I plan on using FFOF for my real grow when seeds show up and im picking the soil up tomorrow so I should try to get them into decent soil ASAP right?? this is what the 2 remaining plants look like as of today

    thanks for the help guys.

  5. Yes, the ferts in there make it hot and your little girls get a burn. FFOF is great for MJ right outa the bag. No ammendments nesc. I add about a gallon of perlite to a big bag (I think 10 lbs) just to loosen it up a bit further. Try it, your ladies roots will love it, plus cheeper to buy perlite than FFOF. The 2 that have survived look like they will be ok in those cups for a bit. Wait till u see the roots hit the edge of the cups so they branch out a bit more before u transplant.

  6. Ok thats exactly what i was asking, if FFOF is pretty foolproof soil to use. I just buy the perlite and mix it in with the FFOF and im good to go. The FFOF is $$$$ so anything to make it last longer haha
    thank you guys so much i love this site. + rep if it lets me

  7. I don't know how to rep anyone do I not have enough posts i guess

  8. lol, not sure on the rep stuff as I just joined the site as well. Still get some seed starter mix, as FFOF can burn an occasional baby, even mixed down 50/50 w FFOF.

  9. Ok I bought FFOF and FF veg nutes. hopefully they start growing good soon so I can transplant to good soil. Man i hope my seeds come in the mail on a day where i can get to it before the rest of the household haha
