  1. Oh boy. I know there are bounds of info in these threads and I have read over many of them. I am hoping that someone can give me a little direction on my shit show of a first attempt at organic living soil grow. One Durban poison one sour d. I have grown probably 100 or more plants from seed every year for many years. Just not the smokable kind. I make my own seed starting and potting soil and have some knowledge on soil building and tending to growing plants so I decided to dive. And sunk. I’m in week 7 of flower with two sorry ass plants one that for some reason decided to attempt to flower early, and one that was growing strong but smaller than i expected until week 3 of flower. I did the build a soil for pest kiT, no bottled nutes, only malted barley, aloe, coconut, fulvic acid, silica, worm castings, and now 2 teas. No yellowing of leaves until about week 3. The one that was growing well under mars hydro sf2000 12/12 had no tricomes until like week 4 and only tiny pop corn nugs. Mistakes I am aware of were maybe some aggressive pruning, and I have battled along with fans constant temps at like 85 F. I am willing to take constructive criticism and input! I can’t seem to add a picture for reference. Shit, guess j need help with that too.

  3. Your plants look fine. Sativa leaning varieties tend to flower later and have smaller less dense buds. Some plants tend to grow more squat. I don't see much of an issue. Try resizing your photo's about 1/2 their original size.

  5. Welcome to the City.
The plants look fine. Patience Young Grasshopper. In due time. As Tim has said Sativa leaning strains (narrow, slender fingers on fans) mature later with wispy, loose buds in most cases. Your early flower can be mixed up auto flowers when you ordered Photoperiods. We see enough of that so be aware of it.

I grow outside year round and 10 weeks actual is the normal flower window for me.
10 in veg and 10 more in flower.

  6. Thank you for the replies! I just can’t see much changing for the better in the next 3 weeks. I have held off giving any bottled even “organic” nutes. I have ordered some things to better top dress to prepare for flower next go around. Not sure how to reSize the images. I’m not a quitter so I’ll keep trying and learning along the way.

  7. Sometimes watching the buds develop can be very slow especially with sativa dominant strains. Sour diesel is a 10 week strain and Durban poison is an 8-9 week strain. If you're not running a 1000 watt HPS. Or have things dialed in expect them both to run a few weeks longer in flower than the breeder claims.

  8. Thank you! Do you run orgabic living soil? Or have any input on how to manage slow growth/ deficient media during flower. Or what I can do to help these munchkins along the rest of their journey? I know you are saying they have a longer than stated flower( reassuring!) but I still feel like they are just… well not something I’m quite proud of. Also, I randomly stumbled on how to post a picture but can’t seem to get to it again. Everything I click on asks for links etc.

  9. Yes, I grow in living organic medium. They can only grow so big and as fast as your soil mass and light energy can support. As far as photo's, click on the "Upload a File" box to the right of the post reply box. Click on the file you want to upload. It may have to be reduced in size as GC is having some upload issues right now. You'll see your photo below the insert bookmarks box on the left side below your text. Click on "Full Image". Just be sure your cursor is where you want your picture to show on your post. I'll drop you a PM so you can ask other questions if you want and add a link to my journal as it has some areas that you may find helpful to read through. That plant I posted is 16 days into 12/12 lighting and is a hybrid photo period.
    Mainlining and more.

  10. Your photos, you can get close and take pic, Right ? 20190424_083856 (1).jpg :love-m3j:
If you want your plants to grow fast switch to hydroponics, IMO Aeroponics is the fastest.
MJ plants leafs will always show nutrient and mineral issues plus ph issues and grow room temp issue plus mold and fungi .

  11. IMO, it looks fine but hungry. Week seven is probably a bit too late to try to catch up, but a handful or two of good compost as a topdress would have helped it out.

  12. I think your plant looks relatively healthy. I would prune back a bunch of the big inner fan leaves to get more light and air flow to the middle of her. Its a bit late now but she really needed to have some LST done back in veg. But... what do I know! I only get around 2 ounces per plant in 7 gal containers with a TSW 2000. My plants aren't the biggest, but I get the best tasting weed imaginable! Good luck brother The advise of Patience is probably your best bet!

Maybe I missed it, but you didn't mention how or if you added any ammendments during the grow. You mentioned teas, but what's in each brew?
That's LA Confidential at the end of week 3 in flower and a 4 week veg under a Mars Hydro TS2000 in a 3x3 and a 7 gallon cloth pot. She's uptaking 2.5L - 3L of water daily.
