Decided to give growing a shot and am having more fun than I thought.

I bought a local clone called God's Breath, an indica dominant hybrid cross between Mendo Breath & OGKB.

Soil: Fox Farm Ocean Forrest and FF liquid plant food big bloom.

OK now with the techy stuff covered I kept the clone indoors on a window sill until I saw roots then put it in a small pot outdoors and so far so good. When it outgrows the small pot I have a 12 gallon ready to go. I'd like to have planted it in the ground but I'm having work done in my back yard so this is my only option for now.

Been watering it every other day and every other watering is with Fox Farm plant food (1 TBSP per gallon)

Am I on the right track as far as watering cycles? I noticed 2 of the leaves look a bit light brown on the tip is this too much watering? Anything else anyone can add would be appreciated.

  2. Welcome to the City.

You should ask the supplier what light cycle the Clone was under. All to often they come from 18-6 and flower almost instantly when put outside where the cycle is 16-8 or lower. Or you could light them up 24-0 until Aug 1st.

  3. Thanks for your help even though I have no clue what that means:)

My experience is limited in gardening in general (dig hole-stick in plant-cover hole-water) and with this being my first clone I want to get it right. The dispensary gave me a one page generic 'how to' but I'm not sure how good it is.

  4. Welcome to GC. Your plant looks ok for now. Clay pots are not the best choice for your plant. Clay tends to get hot and drys your soil out pretty fast. I'd also suggest adding a calcium source as that Ocean forest doesn't have enough for the plants life cycle. You will also need their Grow big nutrient as your soil will only feed your plant for several weeks.

  6. MarijuanaMommy has a grow journal that might be helpful to you as she also used Fox Farms line of soil and nutrients. She grew some monster plants. Here's a link to her Journal.

My first journey with a journal ..

  8. Only thing I see is the plant looks to be stretching just a bit. Could just be my old eyes LOL.
Just make sure you have her in the part of your yard that gets the longest/most intense sunlight. I have about a half acre back yard and I've learned placement sure makes a difference!
    Good luck and rock on!!

  9. I wish I had a half acre! I move it 3 times a day to make sure it gets all the light possible which will be fun when I transplant it to the big pot with 50 pounds of dirt.
